Ornamental Cabbage, or flowering brassica, forms tight rosettes of ruffled leaves in pink, purple, cream, and green, providing colour when many plants fade in autumn and winter. Tough and frost-tolerant, it thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soil, and, though technically edible, is usually grown purely for display.
