A mix of Poinsettia red and three greens (forest, moss and olive) with on a snowy white yarn base. Each one is different and the balance of colours varies.
The upcycled version is spun from the same high quality merino as standard platinum sock. It uses leftovers from the mill, saving perfectly good wool from being wasted, and is virtually identical to the regular version. It is equally soft but, rather than the extreme smoothness of the platinum base, it has a very slightly cosier texture. They are almost indistinguishable and I can only be sure which is which because I labelled them. The upcycled is, of course, better for the environment.
It's a superwash treated 4ply sock yarn that's soft and smooth. It's spun from 75% merino wool with 25% nylon for enhanced durability. It is suitable for approximately 2-3mm needles. About 420 metres per 100g skein.
