The Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus) is the UK’s largest and most common pigeon, with a chunky, grey-blue body warm coloured breast, and distinctive white patches on its neck and wings, visible especially in flight. Its mournful cooing and loud wing clatter are familiar sounds in woodlands and urban areas alike.
It is superwash treated 4ply sock yarn with 75% merino wool for softness and warmth and 25% nylon for enhanced durability. It is suitable for approximately 2-3mm needles. About 420 metres per 100g skein.
