This representation of ancient ice captured in yarn form shows glaciers are not pure white. It is a soft smooth 100% merino yarn, a new non superwash base that has been gently enzyme treated to enhance ease of care. It takes up the dye better than other non-superwash yarns, resulting in deeper colouration that is comparable to superwash, though not quite as intense. It is not as delicate as conventional non-superwash bases and you can use the wool cycle on your washing machine provided you pick a cool temperature. There is no nylon and it biodegrades at the same rate as ordinary wool.
Although all our superwash is environmentally friendly and does not result in a plastic surface, this is a feel good alternative for those who wish to avoid superwash and nylon but still want to enjoy most of the benefits they provide.
