Inspired by the beautiful Rosy Maple Moth (Dryocampa rubicunda), a cute fluffy looking North American species. Their distinctive pink and yellow colouration varies in intensity from bright to pastel. Boy moths have feathery antennae that help them detect girl moth pheromones for mothy good times(!) and the ladies subsequently lay their eggs on yummy maple leaves. Caterpillars eat the equivalent of 2-3 leaves each before metamorphosis, but the all-grown-up moths themselves never eat.
Creating with this is a real treat for your senses. It is a truly luxurious sock yarn with 80% superwash merino wool for softness and warmth and 20% mulberry silk for a luxurious drape and sheen.
