Blackbirds build their nests in late Winter. The female lays about four blue/green eggs with brown speckles, and incubates them for a fortnight. The chicks take a further two weeks to fledge, and the parents will continue to feed them for a few weeks after they leave the nest.

It is a superwash treated 4ply sock weight yarn with 75% merino wool for softness and warmth, 25% nylon for strength and durability. Around 420 metres per 100g skein. Suitable for 2-3mm needles.
