Classic Neapolitan : vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. This yarn self stripes with two metres of each colour, giving you a few rows if you are making socks, before it changes. Have a look at all the pictures for a visual representation. The last photo shows me winding a six metre skein into a ball.
It's a superwash treated 4ply sock yarn that's snuggly and smooth. It's spun from 75% merino wool for softness and warmth and 25% nylon for enhanced durability. It is suitable for approximately 2-3mm needles. About 420 metres per 100g skein.
This yarn is presented as a SIX METRE skein. To wind it into a ball you will need two chair backs set 2.5 metres apart and be able to move between them. If you try to ball or cake it using a regular swift you will make a terrible knotted mess. My husband or I will ball it for you if you wish. He has a PhD in protein crystallography and works in cancer research and I am a medical doctor but you can buy 20 minutes of our labour for £4.
